    Rhonda Schieffer, MSW, CSW-PIP

I have 20 years of experience in providing mental health therapy in an outpatient setting. I have training and clinical experience in working with those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, marital problems, divorce, social anxiety, PTSD, parenting struggles, personality disorders, adjustment disorders to life stressors, past trauma/abuse, obsessive compulsive disorders, panic disorder, intellectual disabilities, and bipolar disorder. I utilize a number of theoretical approaches including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, client centered therapy, Interpersonal therapy, DBT skills training, and solution focused therapy. I am credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Private Independent Practitioner, CSW-PIP, QMHP.

I grew up on a farm in Nebraska, for which I feel quite blessed. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mount Marty College in 1991, I started my career in the mental health field working at Lewis and Clark Behavioral Health Services. I then received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2001. Since that time, I have been providing therapy to adults, couples, children, and families, and I absolutely love what I do. I firmly believe one must feel confident in the therapeutic relationship in order to share the confidential and tender issues in one’s life. Therefore, I take my role very seriously as I assist my clients in their journey to work through and to overcome the problems and difficulties they are facing.

My husband and I live in Yankton, SD. I have 2 children and 3 step children, with 1 four year old grandson and 1 grandson on the way. We enjoy hiking in God’s beautiful great outdoors, working on our farm, and spending time with family.
