  • Morgan Jensen, MS, LPC-MH-SUPERVISEE

I grew up in small town Nebraska and have lived the majority of my life there! I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a focus in Child, Youth, and Family Studies in 2016.

In 2017, my husband and I moved to Aberdeen, where I attended graduate school at Northern State University and obtained my Master of Science in Education Counseling in 2019.

Growing up in a small rural community most of my life, there was a lack of community support for mental illness and there was also a stigma surrounding the topic. Over the years, it has become my passion to end the stigma, and help people with mental illness find what they need to become the best person they can be, both physically and mentally. It is important for those wanting or needing help to feel comfortable and know that it is okay to do so, no matter the life challenge or situation.

Experience in both private practice, schools, and community mental health settings I have increased my knowledge and understanding of what individuals need and how each setting can benefit individuals in varying ways.  My clinical experience includes children, teenagers, and adults with unique lived experiences and struggles including depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, and personality disorders. I utilize a variety of modalities to best fit each client including cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and DBT.

In my spare time, it’s important for me to take care of myself both physically and mentally to be at my best for my clients.  I enjoy spending time outside with my dog, exercising, traveling, spending time back in Nebraska with my friends and family, and spending time with my husband.
