The only thing consistent in life is “change.” Adjusting to constant changes and stressors in life can be hard. Let me be there to help you navigate the difficult emotions, feelings, and obstacles that are holding you back from where you want to be. I use client-centered approach, and believe in meeting you where you are in your therapeutic journey. You are the expert of your life, and I am here to help you take back control.

When working with clients, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Strength Based, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy approaches. I enjoy working with a variety of clients, especially those with symptoms of anxiety and depression, past or present traumatic experiences, recent grief or loss, recent life stressors, and self-esteem concerns. I have experience working with clients of all ages from children to older adults. One of my passions is working with blended families, families going through adoption, and all of adjustments that come with children and teens.

    About me:

I grew up in a small North Dakota town where everyone knows everyone. I graduated with my Bachelor in Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2014. In 2014, an opportunity came available for my family relocated to Wilson, North Carolina.  I graduated with my Master in Social Work from East Carolina University in 2019. In the summer of 2021, we found our way back to the Dakotas and we are enjoying living in the Black Hills.

I love the countless outdoor options that the Black Hills has to offer. In my spare time, I love hiking, camping, traveling, or just spending quality time with family and friends. I have a very active son that keeps me plenty busy, and an even busier husband. When I do find time to relax, I love to cuddle up to a good movie with my fluffy sheepadoodle dog.
