    Jolene Ford, MA, LPCSUPV

I feel so blessed to be a part of the exceptional team at Rising Hope Counseling, LLC! And I’m thrilled to have expanded their mission of hope, healing, and change to clients in the Yankton area.

I obtained my Master’s in Counseling from the University of South Dakota. I have decades of diverse work experiences, most have been rooted in the helping profession, which is where my heart is.

I have working experience in the following areas:

Abuse   ~   Education/Vocational Struggles   ~    Depression    ~    Anxiety   ~    Divorce    ~    Victims of Violent Crimes    ~    Conversion Disorder    ~   Codependency   ~   OCD    ~    Scrupulosity  ~ Pornography Addiction    ~    Substance Abuse   ~   Criminal Thinking     ~    Parent-Child Conflict    ~    Eating Disorders    ~   Personality Disorders    ~   Impulse-Control Disorders    ~   PTSD   ~  Grief/Loss Issues ~  Chronic or Terminal Illnesses   ~   Cancer Survivors   ~   Relationship Issues of all kinds

“Let your hopes, not your hurts, shape your future.”  -Dr. Robert H. Schuller

Your experience is the only one that matters. I can’t promise that your healing will be emotionally painless, and I won’t tell you what to do. But I will be “your person” if you choose to take a look at whatever issues may be holding you back from experiencing happiness and peace. There is no “right” way to heal. Together, we will take a look at what methods might be most useful for you, for wherever your experience has settled in you and in your life. I have been blessed to have some pretty amazing people support me through some of my life trials, and I would be honored should you choose me- to accompany you- through yours.

Things I enjoy: Every season except winter (but I’m trying!!), exploring nature, waterfalls, mountains, rustic little bridges over trickling streams, shelling along beaches, horseback riding, drawing and painting, the NFL (go Packers!), reading and writing.

Things I don’t enjoy: crowds, celery, spiders, and animals with opposable thumbs (gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees, opossums)

So, if my freakish aversion to monkeys and my adoration of the Green Bay Packers hasn’t turned you away, and you’d like to schedule with me, call our main office in Pierre (605) 494-1500 or complete the New Client Request Form.

Looking forward to working with you!

Available at our Yankton office location and for Telehealth.
