  • Jenny Larson, MS, LPC

I grew up in Mobridge, SD and have lived here most of my life. Following graduation, I attended Northern State University in 2009 and received my Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on Sociology and Human Services. After living in Aberdeen for a few years, I found myself back in Mobridge. While living in Mobridge I began my career working at Child Protective Services for a period of 2 years. I appreciated my time there, however found myself wanting to do more for the children and families we serve.

In 2017 I made a decision to go back to school and obtain my Masters in Science Education Counseling in 2020 from Northern State University. Following graduation, I have worked in a private practice clinic along with offering mental health services to the more rural school in the area. This has taught a great deal about intergenerational trauma and the affects this has on everyone involved.

My clinical experience includes working with children, teens, and adults. Each person who comes into the office has endured challenges specially tailored to their lives, to include depression, anxiety, personality disorders, ADHD, trauma, and related disorders. With this being said, I continue to gain knowledge and experience few theoretical approaches, to include solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.

In my personal time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. We enjoy spending time outside camping, along with as much time on the river as possible. Outside of my family, I enjoy cooking, exercising, and reading.

*At this time Jenny is only able to see clients outside a 60 mile radius of Mobridge, SD including those seeking telehealth.
